Position Summary
Performs inspections on incoming materials and fabricated products, in accordance with State DOT specifications and various owner requirements.

What you'll do
  • Schedule freight carriers for pick up
  • Prepare all paperwork such as Bills of Lading and Packing Lists.
  • Transact shipments and receipts
  • Verify count of inbound or outbound materials compared to bill of lading; check for damaged goods
  • Load and unload semi-trailers and flatbeds with most loads
  • Load complex and oversize loads in a productive and safe manner
  • Organize and track parts placement and storage in warehouse or staging areas
  • Keep shipping dock clean and orderly
  • Perform cycle counts and assists during physical inventory
  • Package glue, epoxy and other accessories for shipment with rubber orders
  • Skid/Band steel rails and bridge joints for shipment
  • Label skids for shipment with address label and pro # sticker
  • Perform safety checks on forklifts and company trucks as needed
  • Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition
  • Report defective material and faulty equipment to supervisor immediately
Secondary Accountabilities
In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.

An equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below
Degree: High School Diploma / GED Major:

Physical Requirements

Most of the time spent sitting and walking. May be situations which require up to 40 pounds of lifting. Must be able to bend periodically. Must be able to see and hear.
