Purpose: This role supports AIS’s purpose of providing technology that works for our clients and revolutionizes their business while providing service they’ll fall in love with.
Major Goals
  • Own the entire customer experience. Identify new ways to improve processes and continually elevate the customer experience
  • Meet target goal of managing 70% of all installations remotely.
  • Gather Customer’s required Network information to properly complete Network Information Form (NIF) within 3 days.
  • Ensure all installed devices are properly reporting meters and toner for all installed devices.
  • Maintain knowledge of technology trends and programs needed to install different machines effectively and efficiently on customer sites.
Job Functions: The Connectivity Technician is a critical member of our Service team and is responsible for exemplifying our culture, configuring and fixing various machines/technology, and working with vendors and other team members to fix issues. Specifically, they are the technical experts that onboard or support customers with Office Equipment that needs to be integrated into a business network environment.
Daily Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
  • Provide customer technical support using system management tools, ensuring a service call is documented for each interaction.
  • Driver installation/upgrades
  • Hy-Pass Application troubleshooting as it pertains to connectivity
  • Scanning
  • Printing, etc.
  • Provide both device level hardware support as appropriate, also ensuring a service call is documented for each interaction
  • Fax confirmations/issues
  • Hardware issues
  • Toner issues
  • Error code clearing
  • Conduct remote device installations:
  • For existing customers: gather and/or validate pertinent networking data and information through our system management tools from existing devices
  • For new customers: work directly with customer to gather networking data and information
  • Validate networking data and information has successfully been stored onto the device being installed prior to delivery
  • After delivery, validate devices are accessible through our system management tools
  • Provide basic key operator training remotely
  • System management maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Meter synchronization issues,
  • Addressing off-line devices
  • Creating/updating toner schedules
  • Group management moving devices into the correct groups, creating new groups, etc.
  • User management and customer access
  • Complete assigned project tasks within documented project timelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge And Skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and Reliable vehicle
  • Should be familiar with some or all of the following network technologies: LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Firewalls/ports, VPN, SNMP, SMB, FTP, DHCP, DNS, SSL/TLS, and SMTP
  • Proficient with some or all of the following operating systems: MS Windows 10/11, Apple macOS (formerly OS X) 10.12 and above.
  • Familiarity with Server Operating Systems: MS Server 2016, 2019, and 2022
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers in a respectful manner
  • Experience with E-Automate, Remote Tech, KFS, Print Fleet or other DCAs desired
  • Prior experience with Kyocera and Xerox office equipment preferred
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects and follow them through to completion
  • Must be able to quickly diagnose or research solutions to problems
