UF Health Shands Hospital is Hiring a Materials Specialist Near Ocala, FL
Job Opening Summary
Responsible for maintaining adequate, non-expired patient care supplies in clinical and non-clinical par-serviced areas. Utilizes inventory management technology and inventory management processes to inventory, order and restock patient care supplies. Utilizes inventory controls best stocking practices to ensure The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory agency standards at all times. Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor to provide facility/system support.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to independently lift 20 pounds, ambulate, reach, bend, sit, squat and stand.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Works flexible, rotating shifts as needed.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver."
Shift hours: Variable, Monday-Friday
