Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Clinical Supervisor, the Graduate Nurse applies nursing processes to deliver patient care according to established standards and protocols. They develop nursing diagnoses based on patient age and condition, implementing interventions to address actual or potential health problems. The role includes adhering to professional standards, organizational policies, and regulatory guidelines while participating in extended orientation programs tailored to new graduates.

Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of New York**A NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within ninety (90) days of graduation and the GN must successfully pass the NCLEX-RN within 120 days of beginning employment to obtain the required professional nursing licensure in NYS.Effective June, 2019, graduates of Associate Degree RN Programs must complete BSN within 10 years from date of licensure.
