Job Title: Security Guard

Target Compensation Range: $20.00-$24.00/hour, depending on the level of relevant qualifications and experience.

SUMMARY:

Astiva Health is seeking a highly skilled and professional Armed Security Guard to join our team. This role involves safeguarding property, employees, and visitors, to ensure a secure environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Monitor regular patrols of perimeter fences, gates, parking lots, and other physical security measures to detect suspicious activities and prevent security breaches.
• Manage entry and exit points, verify identification, and ensure only authorized personnel access through specific areas after hours.
• Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• De-escalate potential volatile situations and resolve conflicts professionally and safely.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents, completing required paperwork promptly.
• Stay updated on security protocols, firearm regulations, and company policies, participating in regular training sessions and drills.
• Provide assistance and guidance to employees and visitors ensuring a positive and secure experience.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and legal regulations regarding security operations.
• Regular and consistent attendance
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Valid California Guard Card and Firearm Permit, along with any other relevant certifications as required by state law.
• Completion of required training programs, including firearms training, first aid/CPR, and conflict management.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including criminal history and drug screening.
• Strong observational and situational awareness skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in basic computer operations for reporting and monitoring systems.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to incidents swiftly.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Bilingual (written and verbal) is preferred.

SCHEDULE:

• Monday-Friday, 6PM to 2:30AM
• Flexibility to have work schedule change as needed
