OFFICE LOCATION: ALICE, TX
As an integral member of the Accounting Team, the Corporate CPA/Accountant will assist with the full accounting cycle, ensuring application of sound accounting practices. Roles and Responsibilities:
-Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial information; prepare daily journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations; prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management reports accurately and in a timely manner; perform month end procedures
-Assist in meeting Tax Compliance including Annual Corporate Tax Filings
-Complete monthly cash flow analysis
Reconcile all corporate banking transactions
Prepare property tax renditions; analyze and maintain property tax statements annually Record and maintain fixed assets purchases and applicable depreciation and amortization schedules; record and maintain monthly lease schedules and preparation of lease payments; respond to various requests from external/internal auditors
Ensure GAAP are being adhered to appropriately; required to understand, guide and implement effective internal controls to meet FESCO, Ltd. requirements
Other corporate accounting duties or supervision of duties as assigned Competency Requirements: Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
Detail oriented and demonstrates a “can-do” positive attitude
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities or reprioritization of projects
Excellent time management skills
Excellent communication skills-verbal and written
-Excellent skills in MS Excel and Word. Advanced knowledge in Excel understanding concepts of databases, filtering data, use of mathematical, logical, statistical and financial functions. The CPA/Accountant will be under the direct supervision of the Controller Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: (Meet at least 1 of the following)
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
Certified Public Accountant
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/financial reporting Physical Requirements: This job operates in a clerical office setting. The role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets requiring standing, bending, stooping, twisting and turning.
