LHH is Hiring a HR Manager Near Orangeburg, NY

Position: Bilingual Spanish HR Manager (Manufacturing, Union Environment)
Location: Orangeburg, NY
Schedule: On-site five days per week; generally 9:00 am-5:30 pm with flexibility to work 6:30 am-3:00 pm two days per week to support overnight shift associates
Salary: $115,000-$125,000 per annum, plus a 15% target bonus
Qualifications:
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data manipulation
Responsibilities:
Union Relations:
  • Act as the primary HR contact for unionized employees, their supervisors, and Union Representatives
  • Foster positive labor relations and collaborate with union representatives
  • Ensure compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA)
Employee Support:
  • Provide day-to-day consultation, advice, and guidance to union employees
  • Address inquiries, concerns, and grievances promptly and confidentially
  • Assist in resolving union-related issues effectively
Influencing Leader Behavior:
  • Guide and influence the behavior of team leaders, supervisors, and managers in managing union associates effectively
Compliance:
  • Ensure strict adherence to federal and state employment laws and union contracts
  • Keep policies and procedures updated and communicate changes to union employees and supervisors
HR Data Analysis:
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to collect, analyze, and present HR data
  • Identify trends and inform decision-making in union-related matters
Training and Development:
  • Plan and facilitate state or company-required training programs for union employees and their supervisors
  • Collaborate with Operations leadership to develop internal training programs as needed
Conflict Resolution:
  • Mediate and facilitate the resolution of conflicts between union employees, supervisors, and union representatives
  • Promote positive employee relations and a harmonious workplace culture
Staffing and Onboarding:
  • Participate in the staffing process for union positions, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new union employees
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including record-keeping, employee file maintenance, and data entry to ensure accuracy and up-to-date HR records.
