Role OverviewThe head of sales for a $70mm revenue Consumer Products company (20% annual growth) responsible for driving revenue growth and category and partner expansion globally. The ideal candidate will thrive as a strategic leader in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and possess substantial wholesale and key account experience within the gifting, home, stationary or specialized consumer goods segment.

The ideal candidate will thrive as a strategic leader in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and possess substantial wholesale and key account experience within the gifting, home, stationary or specialized consumer goods segment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of direct reports who sell products to key account and independent retailers.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plan in partnership with the merchant and brand leaders.
- Develop and implement incentive and commission structure for sales team, rep groups and customers.
- Partner with customer experience team to deploy a customer loyalty program.
- Implement and leverage CRM.
- Participate in seasonal category product strategies, and lead presentations and assortment recommendations to clients.
- Act as a player coach to account executive team.
- Take a proactive approach to making recommendations to further drive in season business and identify and react to new opportunities.
- Develop strong cross functional relationships.
- Revise monthly sales forecasts to support business demand and determine risk and opportunities across product categories and channels.
- 10 years’ experience in a wholesale environment working with a variety of wholesale partners to include, department stores, vertical retailers, pureplay, subscription, independent retailers, international distributors and department stores.
- 7 years of strong business development experience. Able to research, propose, negotiate and secure new customers across sales channels.
- Preferred industry knowledge within the gifting, home stationary or related specialized consumer goods segment.
- Network of strong contacts and relationships to leverage in creating new key account and licensed partnerships.
- Thrives in a fast pace, entrepreneurial environment.
- Prior experience in SAP Business One or any B2B order management software
- Experience working with Ivystone or other national rep group(s).
- Clear understanding of retail metrics, margin calculations and knowledge of SIOP and forecasting/projecting sales
- Sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Travel expectations 4-6x per year
