What You’ll Do:
  • Partner directly with management teams for an assigned area of responsible.
  • Deliver consultative HR services aligned to the business strategy for a population of approximately 400-600 employees.
  • Ability to understand the business, the strategy and the mission to deliver integrated Human Resources management services and programs across the business.
  • Bring an independent viewpoint and HR expertise to business issues.
  • Proactively drive HR strategy within organization as aligned with business goals.
  • Provide coaching to managers and employees to accelerate leadership development at all levels in the organization.
  • Promote and champion diversity efforts in hiring, promotion, job rotations as per the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Consult with partnered organization on strategies and communications designed to create an environment that drives individual and team success and retention.
  • Partner with the leadership team on talent development and performance management to maximize employee contributions and address performance gaps.
  • Identify needs for change management and champion related activities.
  • Provide counsel to managers and employees consistent with policies and the collective bargaining agreement (CBA, if applicable).
  • Partner with HR Performance Optimization team and Shared Service providers on escalated questions regarding payroll, leave of absences, investigations, policies, etc.
What You Bring:Required Background, Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field such as Human Resources or Organizational Development. A Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Behavior Studies or related field preferred.
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification desired.
  • 5 years of successful experience in a human resources capacity with successful demonstration of the key responsibilities as presented above.
  • Successful record developing strong trusting relationships to influence and achieve results, and help lead others through the phases of change.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, research, analyze, problem-solve, and make decisions rapidly and with positive outcomes that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, in both written and oral presentation skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, self-directed, motivated, and able to interact with employees at all levels in a highly matrixed and complex organization.
  • Ability to support and guide managers and employees in the administration, interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to objectively coach employees and management through routine and complex employee relations matters.
