ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sustain and Grow Operations:
Responsible for overall Deli appearance, cleanliness and organization
Responsible for all aspect of customer service
Responsible to ensure all paperwork is executed and followed
Creates weekly schedules to ensure staffing is built per budgeted hours
Accepts deliveries by verifying orders against the receiving invoice and inspection for product quality
Ensures product handling meets Freshies standards
Completes required monthly inventory counts with using proper documentation and forwards the results to the Territory Manager
Compiles daily tracking information via handheld, computer input or paper processing
Responsible for ensuring all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed
Inspects Deli to ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed per state of Maine Department of Health Food and Sanitation guidelines
Ensure food handling procedures are followed
Ensures food products are consistently prepared and handled
Communicates any changes within the Deli that have been or need to be made to immediate supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 2 to 8 employees in the Freshies Deli. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate must have or obtain Serve Safe™ Food Protection Manager Certification and Tank Smart Certification in the first six (6) months of employment. Both certifications need to be maintained.
