United Science is Hiring a General Accountant Near Osceola, WI
About United Science: We provide our customers with leading-edge supercritical CO2 extraction technology, professional engineering services, and technical consulting for all phases of the extraction process. Our supercritical CO2 extraction machines are designed with the end-user in mind, simplifying and increasing our customers’ productivity. Through our engineering and consulting services we help both experienced and novice producers create manufacturing facilities that meet or exceed ISO and GLP/GMP equivalent standards.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe Accountant will be based in our Osceola, WI office, and participates with the administrative team to perform assigned tasks that support the demands of timely financial reporting, audits, and sales.
- Maintain accounting file systems and update documents and records as needed.
- Review and enter vendor invoices and reconcile statements.
- Work effectively with other departments to support purchasing and sales functions.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Execute sales orders, invoices, and statements.
- Assist with customer payments.
- Produce error-free accounting documents and reports.
- Spot errors and inefficiencies and offer solutions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close process.
- Provide support for audits and tax returns.
- Comply with all accounting and legal principles, standards, regulations.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Associate's degree with 4 years of accounting experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including formulas and pivot tables), experience using ERP applications.
- Strict attention to detail, highly organized and efficient.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Cost Accounting, inventory, accruals, financial reporting experience.
- Salary depends on experience.
