Northwire is Hiring an Assembly Operator Near Osceola, WI

Summary/Objective:

You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm and attention to detail to succeed in the fast-paced and rapidly changing custom manufacturing environment at Northwire. Produce quality customized Assemblies according to customer specification, while operating all workstations within the cell. The assembler position shall perform daily production while having a commitment to safety, quality, performance, and delivery standards.

Essential Functions:

1.) Print and follow setups and procedures for assemblies

2.) With the aid of equipment, manipulate and transfer reel of material weighing upwards of 200 pounds

3.) Maintain electronic labor entries of work orders

4.) Monitor production schedules, interpret, and follow the schedule per provided documentation

5.) Perform all processes of making assemblies ( e.g. cable prep, wiring harnesses, cut to length hanked up jobs, and assemble connectors per job specification)

6.) Solder assemblies and/or connectors

7.) Perform injection molding

8.) Interpret CAD drawings

9.) Perform quality measures and testing as required to ensure conformance to job specifications

10.) Submit/discuss maintenance orders as needed to maintain safe and efficient equipment

11.) All other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

Manufacturing facility: Walking surfaces are cement flooring with anti-fatigue matting in locations around equipment. PPE: safety glasses and steel-toed shoes required.

Physical Demands:

Stand and walk for 8 hours per shift. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Must have the ability to do repetitive hand work with frequent handling, using fingers to feel, and wrists to twist and turn. Ability and agility to work with both hands. Must be able to work on-site on a daily basis.

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent education.
