Job Opportunity: Medical Assistant (Oswego, NY)

Position: Immediately need an experienced Medical Assistant for the 3 months of the contract.

Details:

Title: Medical Assistant

City: Oswego

Duration: 13 weeks (Extendable)

Shift: Days. 8 hours. 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
  • Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical supplies.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Medical Office Setting.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments like urgent care or emergency medicine.
  • Proficiency in administering medications, including inhalation therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
