- Responsible for preparing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising the department's deli products. Slicing deli meats, cheeses, preparing and serving salads, making sandwiches, and serving a variety of food items. Working with equipment like a fryer, pizza oven, slicer, and rotisserie oven.
- Exceptional customer service with knowledge about deli products and recommending additional items to customers to help increase sale.
- Deli clerk works with sharp and potentially dangerous equipment daily-whether the deli slicer, oven, or high-temperature dishwasher, they are required to work safely and effectively with all kitchen equipment.
- Food handler’s certification preferable.
- Maintain department cleanliness and follow food certification regulations.
- Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. Heavy lifting, stooping & bending.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum age of 18.
