Key member of leadership team, Director of Finance is the top finance manager working with senior manager to help the company to achieve its financial objectives. He/she will participate in operating meetings and partner with key managers in analyzing and reviewing the financial impact of business decision. Given the company culture, it important that he/she be a well-rounded general manager, with a deep understanding of business, and have strong working relationships with operating managers, in additional to having good financial management skills.

Key Requirements:

· BS from accredited university preferably in finance or accounting

· Minimum of seven to ten years of combined relevant work experience post undergraduate; Ideal background includes;

· Experience as financial analyst or controller of manufacturing or retail company

· Experience as operating manager

· Experience budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis for growing company

· Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Hands-on person with strong general management and leadership skills

· Able to work at both a strategic and operational level

· Entrepreneurial with strong desire to help build a company

Key Responsibilities:

· Work with senior management and to build a financially conscious leadership team

· Help develop short and long term financial goals and objectives consistent with overall strategy

· Lead a financial planning and budgeting process for retail and support functions that surfaces, and develops plans to address, key business issues

· Develop controls and reports that focuses managers on key matrices that drive financial performance

· Coach and mentor managers to incorporate cost/benefit consideration into day-to-day decision making

· Work with key operating managers to develop and keep good financial controls and discipline within an entrepreneurial business

· Serve as key negotiator and purchasing manager on major purchases

· Partner with operating managers to establish prudent expense policies and processes

· Identify opportunities for cost saving or productivity improvements

· Develop and implement capital expenditure ROI tracking system

· Perform financial due diligence and analysis and present financial risks and benefits for new business development

We will invest 4-6 months to set the Director of Finance up for long-term success at BTG. Actual plan will be customized to the individual but will include rotating into numerous roles within our organization to learn the business (retail and manufacturing) and to develop the important internal relationship and trust needed to successfully grow into this leadership role.
