Central Electric Cooperative is searching for a Safety Professional to develop, oversee and have working knowledge of related programs within OSHA, FMSCA and EPA compliance. This position actively supports safety in Central’s vision statement, values, and strategic initiatives. Candidate must have the ability to serve as an advisor on safety related topics, establish and maintain effective working relationships and present technical safety education to groups. A successful candidate should possess experience with safety and risk management coordination. Candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail oriented, organized, can effectively manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work independently are requirements. Supervisory experience and electric cooperative or electric industry experience are pluses. Certified Safety Professional, Certified Utility Safety Professional, Certified Loss Control Professional certifications are pluses also.
A bachelor's degree in health & safety, safety management, industrial hygiene or related field with 5 years’ experience is preferred. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
