Children's Home Society of WV, Inc. is Hiring a Program Supervisor Near Parkersburg, WV

Children's Home Society of WV is seeking a dedicated Program Supervisor for our Parents as Teachers program serving Wood, Wirt, Gilmer, Calhoun, and Roane Counties. The Parents as Teachers program works with families in their home to promote healthy childhood growth and development and positive parent/child interaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood development, program implementation, and supervising staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all elements of the Parents as Teachers program; implement program goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
  • Promote the Parents as Teachers program locally and regionally through community outreach activities.
  • Provide supervision to program staff to ensure effective program delivery, including remote supervision.
  • Hire and onboard program staff.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities to program staff.
  • Work as a team with program staff to assist in meeting their families' needs.
  • Conduct scheduled observations of personal visits, group activities, and family assessments and screenings; provide feedback to staff.
  • Review staff documentation and provide feedback.
  • Prepare and submit program reports.
  • Oversee program budget expenditures and provide financial reports, as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and support the values of family-centered services, including a commitment to family stability.
  • Commit to the vision of permanency for every child.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, psychology or a related field.
  • 5 years' experience working with families and young children; demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development.
  • Basic knowledge of and commitment to child welfare services.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the state.
  • Criminal and abuse registry checks that meets agency approval.
  • Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
