**Job Overview:**
Join our team as a Substance Abuse Counselor dedicated to providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients on their journey towards recovery and wellness.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct individual assessments to determine the extent of substance abuse issues and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy sessions to address underlying causes of addiction and facilitate behavioral changes.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire clients to commit to recovery goals.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute challenges related to substance abuse.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including addiction medicine specialists and social workers.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress, treatment outcomes, and adherence to recovery plans.
- Assist in managing co-occurring disorders such as PTSD through integrated care approaches.
- Provide counseling for families and children affected by substance abuse issues.
- Implement crisis management strategies when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Certification or licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in substance abuse counseling or related field.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention, data collection, and addiction medicine practices.
- Familiarity with inhale treatment methods and PTSD care approaches.
- Strong skills in motivational interviewing and child family counseling techniques.
- Ability to demonstrate cultural competence in working with diverse populations.
