Role Summary

The IT Manager plans, initiates, and manages all information technology (IT) projects within CSI. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire IT department, including infrastructure and applications. Reports progress and challenges to senior management and also procures their buy-in for needed projects while acting as the liaison between all parties to understand requirements, technical aspects of, and how best to meet them.

The IT Manager plans project stages and assesses business implications for each stage. Works to meet the overall corporate goals while optimizing profitability and customer satisfaction through technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains and analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Oversee Helpdesk support, managing hardware, cellular and office phones. Overseeing service contracts/vendors and licenses.
  • Maintain and enhance corporate systems: Microsoft Dynamics GP, SalesPad, SPS EDI, Koerber WMS, Redzone, and SalesForce.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Develop and/or update plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
  • Partner with Global ADAMA team on project implementation and administration within a timely fashion.
  • Ensure compliance with Global technology, security and cyber-risk policies & procedures as well as compliance with Global Internal Audit Best Practice requirements.
  • Engage across CSI functional areas to identify how technology & digitalization can enhance functional unit outcomes and works with the CSI Leadership Team to prepare the technology roadmap that aligns with business priorities.
  • Monitor and track project milestones and deliverables to the CSI Leadership Team.
  • Accountable for developing and monitoring progress and the Technology budget including capital expenditures and recurring operational costs and a local CSI operating unit level that also supports Global technology budget requirements.
  • Confer with department personnel to identify and solve problems.
  • Implement robust vendor management processes to ensure our technology vendors & consultant partners are actively managed and deliver on metrics set forth by CSI.
  • Develop and manage work breakdown structure (WBS) of IT projects.
  • Prepare status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop detailed project plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate resource procurement activities.
  • Prioritize short- and long-term objectives while maintaining existing programs seeing that necessary updates are made while overseeing the maintenance of hardware.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work effectively and achieve results in a matrix organization.
  • Process focused with an understanding of end-to-end business processes and their impact
  • Ability to identify root cause issues and develop plans to resolve.
  • Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input and retrieve data from a computer.
  • Working knowledge of industry products and solutions.
  • Ability to partner with the production team and related automation technologies used on the production lines and inventory management.
  • Hands on SQL and query optimization experience a plus

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Networking/Programming
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office365, Access, Outlook, Programming, Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence tools and EDI Mapping.
  • Experience using corporate programs Microsoft Dynamics GP, SalesPad, SPS EDI, Koerber WMS, Redzone, and SalesForce is a plus.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skill set.
  • Strong interpersonal, employee development, performance management and leadership skills.
  • Must be a well-organized, self-starter who can effectively articulate business plans and deliver results.
  • Must possess personal and business integrity with an energetic style demonstrated by a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to accommodate up-to 10% overnight travel.
