Job Title: Shipping Clerk
The Shipping Clerk performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks in an office environment. They are responsible for processing incoming and outgoing deliveries, maintaining shipping records, and greeting and directing customers, clients, and visitors at the window/entrance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Scale trucks in and out
· Answer phone calls
· Answer any driver questions and provide instruction when needed
· Prepare shipping paperwork
· Communicate with loader and packing department to ensure fulfillment accuracy
· Process customer orders by ensuring shipment accuracy
· Obtain truck information and prepare paperwork for loader
· Ensure all transactions are recorded in company database
· Verify orders by matching them with quantities and types
· After loading truck, check truck weight to ensure the load is at legal weight
· Process final shipping paperwork
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
