As a Production Brewer you will be accountable for all aspects of wort production, cellar activities, clarifying beer, and more.

This opening is for a 2nd shift Brewing position :

• Hours : 2 PM 12 Midnight, Monday-Thursday
• Hourly Rate : $20-23 / hour DOE
• 6% Shift Differential for hours worked between 10 PM 6AM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES :

• Responsible for following SOPs while maintaining high quality standards in all areas of beer production.
• Ability to multitask and perform all aspects of the department (brewhouse, cellar, filtration, blending)
• Troubleshoot issues during operation.
• Follow all safety and policy processes throughout the brewery.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and presentable work environment.
• Display a positive attitude and works well with others in a team environment.
• Organization and record keeping

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

• Stand for up to 10-hour shifts (with meal breaks)
• Climb stairs or ladders periodically.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, reach, lift, carry and lower objects up to 55 pounds.
• Frequent use of latches, hand tools, clamps, hoses, etc., requiring manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination
• Bend, squat and move around production floor as needed.
• Climb up and drive forklift as necessary.
• Lift and carry up to 55 pounds as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree or coursework in a science discipline or engineering is desirable, or equivalent years of experience.
• Professional brewing certificate preferred.
• 2 years of brewing experience as assistant brewer or brewer preferred; knowledge of practices, methods, tools, and equipment used in production and pub-style brewing.
• General knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions associated with work.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions including interpret technical bulletins and schematics on equipment related to work.
• Shift flexibility to work mornings, afternoons or weekends as needed.
• Must be 21-years of age or older.
