Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a joyful and respectful work environment for students and adults.
- Develop productive relationships with leaders, community partners, teachers, staff members, parents, and service providers.
- Attend essential programming, including summer sessions, data days, parent workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintain accurate and complete student files and academic records.
- Engage students in all content areas and differentiate curriculum and instruction to support all ELLs.
- Co-teach with general education teachers and manage both regulatory and instructional requirements as an ELL teacher.
- Administer tests to determine student eligibility for ELL services.
- Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices.
- Create a safe and respectful classroom environment.
- Track progress of individual English language learners and maintain ELL records.
- Advise teachers on modifying curriculum for ENL students and share best practices.
- Comply with guidelines of students’ IEPs and attend IEP meetings.
- Supervise out of classroom settings such as arrival, transitions, lunch, recess, dismissal, and field trips.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- New Jersey State teaching certification in Students with Disabilities, Special Ed, or ESL preferred.
- Teaching or student teaching experience in a school.
- Experience with and interest in working with high needs students preferred.
- Strong knowledge of grade-level content curricula.
- Ability to differentiate teaching based on the diverse and individual needs of all students.
- Comfort with using data to inform instructional practices.
- Ability to create a safe, caring and orderly school environment.
- Understanding and experience working with students’ IEPs.

Pay: Up to $62,000.00 per hour
