Our client is the nation's first and only non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening and growing educator preparation at Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs). Its larger goals are to diversify the teaching profession and intentionally address critical issues of educational equity for all students.

As the Office Manager, you will ensure that employees have the support they need to do their work. Specifically, you will manage the office, support IT and knowledge systems, coordinate with vendors, and provide general support to key staff members.

Responsibilities: 

  • Staff Support: Provide administrative support to staff, including greeting visitors, arranging interviews, updating financial documents, and scheduling meetings.
  • HR and Finance Assistance: Maintain personnel records, partner with HR to update office policies, process invoices, and manage office budgets.
  • Technology Management: Ensure appropriate IT systems, manage software and hardware, and develop accessible systems like SAP Concur, SharePoint, Asana, and Microsoft 365.
  • Office Management: Organize company events, meetings, and conferences, book transport and accommodation, order supplies, handle correspondence, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain communication with vendors and manage vendor relations effectively.
  • Compliance: Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as an Office Manager, Front Office Manager, or Administrative Assistant
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and Outlook, with hands-on experience using office machines (e.g., copiers and printers)
  • Calendar management and travel arrangements
  • Must be able to work in the office in Peachtree City, GA for the first 90 days, then able to work from home 2 days a week
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a creative mindset for suggesting improvements
  • A patient listener with a servant-leader approach and an urgency for excellence
