The City of Pflugerville is seeking its next Facilities Maintenance Technician I to join our team! As a Facilities Maintenance Technician I for the City, you will preforming a variety of preventative maintenance and repairs to help maintain the City facilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair work on city facilities, ensuring all operations meet safety and quality standards.
  • Respond to service requests in a timely manner, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
  • Performing various maintenance repairs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • Work on large-scale maintenance projects as assigned, contributing to the team's efforts to upgrade and maintain facility infrastructure.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment necessary for facility maintenance.
  • Communicating existing and prospective issues with supervisor.
  • Complete required trainings in timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Skill RequirementsFormal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Relatable Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in building maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or Carpentry.
Training, License, and Certifications: Valid Class C Texas Driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: Certifications of any of the items listed in work experience.
Disclaimer: Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is define as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
