Premier Life Science is Hiring a Mechanical Engineer Near Phillips, WI

Role: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Phillips, WI

Duration: 12 Months on W2

Job Duties ::

  • Acknowledge and adhere to all customer General Quality Agreements, General Quality Requirements, and standards specified by each customer.
  • Optimize process flow within work cells.
  • Design ergonomically correct workstations.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of automation in production departments, including robotics and vision systems.
  • Design new equipment and processes for introducing new products or improving existing ones, collaborating with equipment vendors and customers.
  • Employ effective problem-solving techniques using creative, critical thinking, collaboration, and data-driven methods.
  • Prepare written protocols, reports, and engineering documentation as needed.
  • Lead and participate in equipment design reviews with cross-functional teams from Engineering, Automation, and Maintenance to ensure optimal equipment concepts.
  • Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at vendor locations, ensuring equipment meets specifications and resolving performance gaps.
  • Apply lean manufacturing tools to minimize waste and process variation, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop innovative approaches to new assembly processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering OR equivalent work experience involving project management, troubleshooting, and innovation.
  • Hands-on experience with process development for manual and semi-automated assembly.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in Medical Device or Electronics industries.
  • CAD experience.
  • Experience with PCBA handling and testing.
  • ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) training.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Background working in an assembly environment overseeing automation in production departments, including robotics and vision systems.
