University of Pittsburgh is Hiring an Employee and Labor Relations Specialist Near Pittsburgh, PA

Serves as a professional consultant for Employee & Labor Relations. Provides training, assists with grievance issues, and oversees the disciplinary process.
Employee/Labor Relations
Essential Functions
  • Serves as a professional consultant for Employee & Labor Relations and respective entities.
  • Provides training and coaching to University staff regarding Employee & Labor Relations topics such as conduct management, organizational development, strategic planning, and policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Assists in tracking employee grievances and ensures appropriate follow-up on investigations.
  • Oversees the disciplinary process to ensure compliance with University, Federal, State, and local laws and/or regulations. Supports management in conducting hearings, investigating issues, and formulating satisfactory resolutions.
  • Evaluates and researches professional trends and issues in specialty areas relevant to Employee & Labor Relations. Identifies and recommends new policy or program initiatives in specialty areas designed to enhance delivery and quality of service.
Physical EffortModerate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
