The Opportunity:The Information Technology (IT) Director is responsible for providing leadership in all aspects of the information technology & cyber security functions for the Company. Your mission is to ensure critical information security in accordance with various state and federal regulations; identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that complement strategic growth plans; and maximize systems reliability and uptime.
This key IT role is responsible for implementation and maintenance of cyber security protocols and disaster recovery systems to prevent and mitigate breaches and ensure the integrity of data resources within the organization are maintained. You will communicate standards to staff and train employees regarding safe practices for the use of data and systems. You will have the responsibility of HIPAA Security officer ensuring all ePHI is maintained in a secure manner, conducting audits of access and changes to system and data are in accordance with policy and ensuring secure backups of data are created and tested.
You will act as the liaison with third party providers of IT services such as day to day help desk, network configuration and security, security operations center, and ongoing security training in regard to phishing and social engineering using the Knowbe4 training platform.
As the leader of the IT function, you will act as Project Manager ensuring successful implementation and enhancements of all systems such as ERP, CRM, reporting and analysis tools, and enhanced communication systems (phone, webchat, texting, video conferencing, etc.).
This position is eligible for work flexible/remote work with the expectation that time in the office will be required periodically.
Job Outcomes You Must Get:
  • Set strategic vision and direction for IT Team and all Hardware/Software/Infrastructure
  • Liaise with all external software and IT consultants, including direct management and oversight of Managed IT Service Provider
  • Manage IT budget, driving optimization and efficiency across $2-3M in annual spend
  • Set a world class standard of excellence for communicating with all internal stakeholders, including project progress, ticketing KPIs/LOS, policy updates, etc
  • Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages ensuring projects are defined and completed on time
  • Centralize and enhance the company’s cross-functional reporting capabilities
  • Provide support for system integrations using APIs and ETL tools
  • Advise continued development of mobile-based product application
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organization
  • Manage application-level ITGCs and support for changes in other infrastructure areas (e.g., operating system upgrades, hardware changes, security upgrades, etc.)
  • Ensure data governance best practices are in place for key information
  • Document and maintain IT and Security work instructions
  • Coordinate and workshops for staff
  • Lead and report results of IT audits, penetration testing, and cyber security protocols
Job Outcomes Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Security or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 10 years IT experience with 5 years IT management experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably medical device manufacturing, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Strategic thinking; strong project management and communication skills; ability to work well under pressure; attention to detail; a desire to keep learning and stay abreast of new technology; management and leadership skills
  • Industry certifications in applicable areas of responsibility.
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO & FDA Quality System requirements
  • Experience with QAD, Brightree, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, PowerBI, and/or Snowflake preferred
