Kasco Marine, Inc is seeking a full-time Production Supervisor at our home office in Prescott, WI.

Kasco Marine is a leading supplier and innovator of aerators, diffused aeration, floating decorative fountains, de-icing products, circulators, and tank mixers. Kasco has a well-established reputation for quality products offered to the residential, aquaculture, commercial, industrial, municipal, and resort industries. Kasco has been in business for over 50 years and is a small but quickly growing company located in Prescott, WI. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and support to our customers and creating an atmosphere of continuous improvement where everyone’s voice is heard.

Position Overview: Provides first level of supervision of production operations in assigned department(s) while working directly as part of the production team. Reviews production orders and ensures that production schedules are met. Organizes and delegates assigned work and supervises and assists employees in daily work performance. Anticipates and resolves production problems to minimize their effect on production schedules. Maintains good housekeeping and enforces safe work practices. Leads by example and demonstrates effective assembly skills and habits. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

· Directly supervise 5-10 direct reports. Will provide training, feedback, discipline, performance evaluations, terminations, and will interview, hire, and onboard new employees to fill departmental needs. 

· Ensures that:

  • Production schedules meet customer demand.
  • Work instructions and accepted best practices are being followed by team members to ensure quality of all product built.
  • All Inspections and Quality Checks are being conducted in the method and frequency that is prescribed.
  • All employees working in the area and any other individuals on company grounds are following all safety requirements and are working in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • The standard operating procedures for moving and using inventory are being followed by all members of the team.
  • All team members are following Standard Operating Procedures to maximize efficiency, flow, and output.

· Provide initial training and on-going development of your team members as it pertains to all aspects of performing their job requirements.

· Advocate for building a culture of safety and health. Corrects processes, employee behavior, hazards in the workplace, as they relate to the safety of the team.

· Support and lead continuous improvement efforts. Subject matter expert in LEAN manufacturing. 

· Escalate and communicate quality concerns to appropriate individuals.

· Create an environment respectful of Kasco’s culture and values by modeling it though one’s own behavior and attitude. Including: 

  • Holding direct reports accountable for their actions in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Listening to and valuing the ideas and feedback of all team members.
  • Respecting the feelings and concerns of others.
  • Setting an example of commitment to your work
  • Being a champion for your team members and helping them achieve their personal best. 

· Effectively manage upwards and escalate concerns and issues to the correct person. Maintain confidentiality on matters of significance and delicate situations. 

· Perform and delegate other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • Education: High school diploma required, degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of related production experience, with 1-2 years supervising others preferred.
  • LEAN Certification preferred.

  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well under pressure; strong ability to multi-task and be a team player.
  • Ability to recognize strengths and weaknesses and delegate appropriately.
  • Resolve conflict and diffuse potentially hostile situations.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations. 
  • Must be able to stand for duration of the workday
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 50lbs using safe lifting techniques

Physical Requirements: Required to stand for long periods of time. Frequent lifting up to 50lbs.
