Job Description:

We are looking for a part-time or full-time occupational therapist to work at Helping Hands Pediatric Therapy in Prosper, Texas. We provide a holistic approach to each child. Using a wide variety of specialty treatment approaches such as sensory integration, sensory motor, kinesthetic learning, whole body integration, and fine / gross motor coordination. We are looking for a motivated, personable therapist who is flexible and excited to learn and grow in their career. Helping Hands Pediatric Therapy values family centered care and is looking for a therapist who is a strong communicator and takes an individualistic approach to each child.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations, provide occupational therapy services, and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family.
• Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over both in-home and in community settings.
• Prepare progress notes every six months and re-evaluations every 12 months.
• Maintain detailed patient notes to track progress over time.
• Maintain a caseload of 25-28 clients during the work week Monday-Thursday
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations).

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• BLS / First Aid Certification
• Licensed in the State of Texas
• 2 years of pediatric experience preferred
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Live in the Prosper, Texas area or willing to relocate / commute

Education:

• Master's or Doctorate Degree (Required)
• Certified in Sensory Integration (Preferred)

Experience:

• OTR: 2 years (Preferred)
• Expected hours: 25 – 28 per week
