Founded in 2009, Burke Concrete is a subcontractor providing concrete and masonry construction on commercial construction projects in the retail, business, industrial, medical and education sectors. Sample projects include retail centers, industrial centers, banks, restaurants, grocery stores, fuel stations, medical office centers, hospitals, police/fire and rescue stations, schools, etc. We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you are responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the day-to-day management and execution of each concrete construction project in collaboration with the Project Estimator and Project Superintendent. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of concrete construction projects, ensure they progress on schedule and within budget, and be responsible for safety on the project. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in building methods and has a proven track record of successful construction management projects.
Responsibilities:
-Effectively communicate throughout all levels of the business
-Prepare budget, obtain cost estimates for all project materials, prepare schedule of values and coordinate other pre-construction duties, including job transition and start up
-Collaborate with the General Contractor, Superintendent, Estimators and Accounting Department throughout the life of each project
-Manage RFI's, submittals and change orders
-Develop and maintain general contractor and vendor relationships
-Conduct site visits and progress meetings to track progress, ensure quality control, and coordination with general contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure successful delivery of projects
-Manage Project Safety and Risk Management Processes
-Ensure a Safe Work Environment
-Participate in Training/Certifications
-Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and codes
-Manage projects ranging from $50,000 to $1,000,000
-Manage multiple projects in different sectors simultaneously
Experience:
-5 years experience in commercial construction projects;
-Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
-Advanced knowledge of construction methods, building products, and building codes
-Ability to read and understand all construction documents, blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets
-OSHA 30 preferred
-Strong leadership and crisis resolution skills
-Experience in scheduling software and Microsoft Office
-Knowledge in Procore Construction Management Software is a plus
-Ability to break large projects into small steps
