Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pain Management Nurse to join our team. As a Pain Management Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care and support to patients experiencing chronic pain. Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patients' pain levels and develop individualized pain management plans
- Administer medications, including injections, as prescribed by physicians
- consult weight loss patients on weight loss medication program.. semaglutide and tirzepatide medication knowledge is important.
- administer joint, trigger point, PRP and Hctp injections. Must have a knowledge in PRP and Human cells and tissue product injections
- Monitor patients' response to pain management interventions and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques and strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Assist with procedures such as ophthalmology exams and catheterization when necessary
- Ensure adherence to sterile processing protocols for equipment and supplies
- Utilize electronic medical record systems such as Cerner to maintain patient records
- Coordinate durable medical equipment (DME) needs for patients
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license and certification as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in acute care or pain management setting
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Experience administering injections and managing pain medications
- Familiarity with Cerner or other electronic medical record systems
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate patients and their families
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
