General Human Outreach in The Community Inc. is a Queens social services Agency providing services to people with intellectual disabilities. We are seeking a Full-time and Part-time Job Coach (Supported Employment (SEMP) services).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather assessment data and assisting the person with a disability to develop a list of interests and potential skills.
• Gather employment information by doing job analyses at business sites in order to match a person with a position.
• Provide one to one training on a job/volunteer site.
• Conduct job readiness groups.
• Maintain evaluation data for performance reporting.
• Provide job retention services to the employer and person with disability.
• Maintain records, complete all reports and required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma required, A.A or BA preferred.
• Covid-19 Vaccine card required
• 6 months or more of previous experience in providing vocational training, career development training, and/or job readiness training preferred.
• Willing to train the right candidate.
• Computer proficient in Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel to different sites throughout the 5 boroughs.
• Bilingual Spanish or Chinese is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
