Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Technician to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, finishing work, fire suppression systems, irrigation systems, and boiler maintenance. Additionally, the Facilities Technician should be willing to be on call for fire alarms and emergencies. The role involves ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained, safe, and conducive to the smooth operation of daily activities, even during off-hours. ResponsibilitiesHVAC Maintenance:
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and adjust temperature and humidity levels for comfort and efficiency.
Plumbing Services
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and pipe damage.
  • Install and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of plumbing infrastructure to identify potential problems.
Carpentry Skills
  • Perform carpentry work, including framing, installing doors and windows, and repairing or replacing damaged structures.
  • Ensure the integrity and stability of building structures through carpentry expertise.
  • Collaborate with other teams to plan and execute construction or renovation projects.
Finishing Work
  • Execute finishing work such as painting, plastering, and applying other surface treatments.
  • Ensure the aesthetic quality of finished surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and floors.
  • Repair and touch up finishes as needed to maintain a polished appearance.
Fire Suppression Systems
  • Maintain and inspect fire suppression systems, ensuring they comply with safety regulations.
  • Conduct winterization procedures for fire suppression systems to prevent freezing and damage.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with fire suppression equipment to ensure reliable functionality.
Irrigation Systems
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
  • Perform winterization procedures for irrigation systems to protect against freezing.
  • Set up irrigation systems for different seasons, adjusting schedules based on plant and weather conditions.
Boiler Maintenance
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of boilers to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair boiler issues, including malfunctions and leaks.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of boilers and prevent breakdowns.
On-Call Responsibilities
  • Be willing to be on call for fire alarms and emergencies, responding promptly to urgent situations outside of regular working hours.
  • Collaborate with emergency response teams to address and resolve facility-related emergencies.
General Maintenance
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to avoid future issues.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment for basic electric line work safely and efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with proven experience as a Facilities Technician or similar role.
  • Relevant certifications in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, fire suppression systems, irrigation systems, or boiler maintenance are a plus.
  • Requires experience with Fire Suppression Systems.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, finishing work, fire suppression systems, irrigation systems, and boiler maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring physical strength.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Strong communication, strong decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate project management skills, with the ability to manage several projects at the same time.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing office/amusement park environment
