Pacific Coast Companies is Hiring a Benefits Administrator Near Rancho Cordova, CA

Pacific Coast Companies, Inc. is a dedicated team of professionals that provide a comprehensive range of business services and support to the Pacific Coast Building Products family of companies and their customers.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of benefits administration for the company.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the direction and supervision of the Benefits Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

May include some or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Eligibility and enrollment for company provided insurance programs and open enrollment.
  • Processing court order insurance documents
  • Troubleshoot benefit deduction enrollment and payroll deduction errors. Works with the payroll team to ensure proper benefit deductions are taken.
  • Conducts periodic audits for benefit enrollment and payroll deductions related to benefit plans.
  • Advises employees on benefit plans and options, answers questions regarding benefit policies and procedures.
  • Processes STD and LTD claims and insurance premium payments for employees on LOA.
  • Audits flex account information and takes appropriate action when needed. Answers inquiries from employees regarding flex accounts.
  • COBRA Administration-initial notification and notice of qualifying events for terms, OAD, Divorce

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Benefits Administrator, Payroll Specialist or Human Resource Generalist required.
  • Excel skills and capable of analyzing payroll/benefit deductions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse employee population with limited education and/or limited English language skills.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage several tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of all levels.
  • Regular attendance is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Reach with hands and arms. Talk and listen. Stand, walk, and sit.

Occasionally required to bend at the waist. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Regular attendance is required.

Office environment with moderate noise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
