Job Description:

SQL Database Administrator
Apex is seeking a SQL Database Administrator to design and implement various database schemas, stored procedures, and views to optimize database performance for on-prem and cloud-hosted databases (Azure SQL).
Description:

• Optimize database performance
• Create complex functions, stored procedures, and views
• Analyze queries, develop security protocols, and resolve problems
• Design and implement database models
• Write complex queries for applications and business intelligence reporting
• Enhance existing SSIS packages
• Implement and maintain instances of Azure Data Factory

Requirements:

• Strong experience in SQL (T-SQL), stored procedures, triggers, view creation, querying and query performance tuning
• Query performance monitoring
• Strong experience in schema design and implementation (normal form, flat, hierarchical, star, snowflake)
• Microsoft DMS suite: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
• Strong Excel skills

Nice to Have:

• Azure SQL (highly preferred experience)
• Kafka
