Job Summary

The Machine Operator works safely to operates all machinery on the production floor while ensuring all finished product meets food safety and quality requirements. You will report to the Team Leader, Production, for your shift, at the Reno, NV plant.

You will:

• Operate the Hayssen VFFS, Cretor Gzilla, X-ray inspection machine, Case Erector Machines, conveyors.

• Conduct and record regular quality checks on bags, weights, and product volumes

• Clear jams, restock and set operating conditions with computer control board.

• Record machine and line down time.

• Maintain productions records.

• Maintain food safety and quality.

• Perform housekeeping tasks including keep floors clean, keep work area organized and complete sanitation documentation.

• Perform CIL & CL tasks for machines assigned.

• Mechanical aptitude

• General knowledge of production and maintenance of machines

• Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position.

• Regular attendance to ensure production goals requirements are met.

You Have:

• Ability to understand instruction as would be acquired in three to four years of high school.

• Three to six months related experience

• Read and write English for comprehension of written assembly directions and completion of Production/QA documents.

• Able to lift/carry, push/pull up to 55 pounds.

• Flexibility to work on different packaging equipment.
