Revere Public School District is Hiring an Early College Coordinator Near Revere, MA

Revere High School is seeking an Early College Coordinator. Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Leading the work of the Revere High School Early College program: Outreach to families, community members; Recruitment of new Early College students; Collaboration with teachers, EC academic specialist, NSCC instructors, transportation, families; Planning Early College progress meetings with families; Planning, collaborating and facilitating student and family engagement events, college awareness activities, information sessions, registration sessions, financial aid sessions and orientation for new students.
  • Assists the RHS Early College Academic Specialist in the management of day to day operations.
  • Plans and leads meetings with RHS and NSCC Early College team members.
  • Assists with report generation and other criteria as outlined by RHS and DESE requirements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with RHS School Counselors and NSCC Early College offices to fully support students academic advising needs.
  • Collaborates with NSCC Early College staff and professors, Postsecondary Transition Programming, Tutoring, Accessibility Services, Dual Language and ML support.
  • Assists in developing and providing information about colleges, admissions requirements, financial aid, and career information to students and families.
  • Analyzes Early College data to ensure best practices in supporting students.
  • Maintains confidential data and abides by all laws and policies that govern student privacy.
  • Other duties related to Early College leadership as assigned by the Principal and Director of Guidance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education licensure.
  • Three (3) years of experience working with students in diverse settings.
  • Spanish proficiency highly desirable.
  • Experience working with Early College programming highly desirable.
  • Willingness to consistently engage in collaborative conversations with students, colleagues, families, and NSCC staff
  • Excellent computer/technology skills with the ability to utilize various computer software and app programs: Data analysis, email, report preparation, knowledge of Google Suite and Power School.
  • High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Committed to the vision of high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic and linguistic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the opportunity gap.
  • A self-reflective, active learner capable of interactive dialogue with all members of the school community.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and respect for others with the ability to establish rapport with and relate to students, caregivers, and coworkers with respect, compassion, tact and understanding.
  • Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and anti-racist practices.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including summer hours.
