Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience and a strong background in payroll processing, accounting principles, and financial software. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our organization.

Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures
- Prepare and distribute reports to management as needed
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Assist with journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations
- Handle accounts payable tasks related to payroll
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Utilize accounting software such as Ultra Tax and QuickBooks.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with financial software and systems
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation processes
- Experience in clerical tasks related to payroll processing
