Grand River Health is Hiring a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Near Rifle, CO

SALARY INFORMATION :

  • $65.00 hourly rate
  • Weekend hourly rate of pay will be $71.00
  • Holiday hourly rate of pay will be $84.00

BASIC FUNCTION: Assesses plans and provides emergent, urgent and acute primary care in the Emergency Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Examines patients, performs comprehensive physical examinations and compiles patient medical data including health history and results of examinations.
  • Works in collaboration with Physicians to assess the physical needs of patients seen in the Emergency Department
  • Orders, interprets and records results of clinical tests and reports results to Physicians and other departments.
  • Collaborates with hospitalists and specialists regarding transfers and admissions when appropriate. 
  • Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
  • In addition to primary duties and responsibilities in the Emergency Department
  • Participates in quality assurance planning, initiatives and improvement projects.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active ACLS and PALS certifications are required upon hire and must be maintained throughout GRHD employment.
  • ATLS certification is preferred but not required.
  • 3 to 5 years working experience in an Emergency Department and/or clinical setting in a similar role preferred.

Physician Assistant:

  • Requires graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Active Colorado Physician Assistant licensure required.
  • National Physician Assistant certification through NCCPA preferred.
  • Master’s Degree in area of specialty preferred.

Nurse Practitioner:

  • Requires active Colorado Licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty based on RN licensure and Colorado authority for advanced practice.
