TRAINING AVAILABLE: If you are interested in expanding your knowledge into the industry or learning a new skill, please applyJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technician specializing in control panels. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining control panels for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assembly: Build control panels based on project specifications and schematics. Select appropriate components and materials to ensure functionality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Installation: Install control panels at customer sites or within company facilities. Ensure proper wiring, grounding, and connectivity to associated equipment and systems.
  • Testing and Calibration: Conduct thorough testing and calibration of control panels to ensure proper operation. Verify that all connections are secure and that systems function as intended.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical issues within control panels and related systems. Utilize testing equipment and tools to identify faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of control panel designs, modifications, and repairs. Update wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals as needed.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant safety standards, regulations, and best practices. Ensure that all work complies with electrical codes and company policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget. Provide technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong knowledge of electrical components, PLCs, VFDs, and other control systems.
  • Tools and Equipment: Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to think critically and implement effective solutions quickly.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various environments
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in both indoor (climate controlled) and outdoor settings.
  • May require occasional travel to customer sites or other company locations.
