Senior Accountant Job in Janesville Area
A highly-respected financial services company/bank in Rock County is looking for a new Senior Accountant to join the team. This position is open due to quite a bit of growth the past few years. They offer a hybrid/flexible work schedule and fantastic benefits!
Job Duties:
- Assist Controller and CFO with financial activities and annual budget preparation
- Month-end close process including preparation and posting of journal entries
- Prepare monthly financial statements and ad-hoc reports
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage fixed assets and fixed assets in progress
- Complete all scheduled or requested fiscal or operational reports in a timely manner
- Assist in annual external audits
- Complete Federal and State required tax returns
- Continuous review for efficiencies, profitability, and productivity improvements
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Financial Services/Banking experience
- Process improvement mindset
- Communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
