POSITION SUMMARY:

This EXCITING position is responsible for creating financial reports and providing timely and accurate financial information for internal and external use, maintaining and ascertaining the integrity of accounting records for the purpose of compiling, reconciling, adjusting and/or reclassifying accounting and operational information. This position is responsible for creating reconciliations and analyzing assigned balance sheet accounts and maintaining respective account folders. Incumbents in this position are assigned to various departments and are responsible for specialized familiarity with the operations and financial statements of the assigned departments.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Rockford their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
• Responsible for Preparation of Month End Journal Entries and other financial closing documents
• Responsible for Daily Cash Management Activities which include: updating daily bank activity; transferring funds between accounts; paying various expenses; preparing deposits for the bank and maintaining all banking functions for operational purposes.
• Responsible for the preparation of Monthly Bank Reconciliation.
• Responsible for maintenance of Fixed Asset Accounting (FAS) System.
• Adheres to all Illinois Gaming Regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Attend seminars when needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis)

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• MBA/MS Finance/Accounting or professional certification such as CPA or CMA (CPA/CMA)
• Experience of more than three years with exposure in financial analysis in casino hotel industry preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with database applications.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
