The Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving divisional sales goals by leading and managing a team of sales representatives. This role involves overseeing team performance, managing sales processes, and ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional service and support. The ideal candidate will have strong industry experience, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Team Management:
    • Lead, coach, and train sales team members to foster growth and performance.
    • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to achieve team objectives.
    • Serve as an escalation point for resolving issues, involving direct leadership when necessary.
    • Monitor team coverage, manage personal time off requests, ensure appropriate back-ups, and redistribute work as needed.
    • Oversee staffing and equipment needs to ensure team efficiency.
    • Conduct performance reviews and make decisions regarding compensation.
  • Sales Management:
    • Manage the sales funnel to meet individual and team sales targets and align with corporate initiatives.
    • Sell products and services while achieving established profit goals.
    • Uphold business ethics and ensure solutions enhance client efficiencies and profitability.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of company products, sales processes, market trends, competitors, and client needs.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Conduct effective sales presentations to demonstrate the value of products and solutions.
    • Promote cross-selling opportunities with other sales divisions and support personnel.
    • Utilize CRM systems to maintain a well-qualified database and manage client relationships.
    • Participate in the Corrective Action Request (CAR) process to resolve client issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement territory plans to increase sales and market penetration.
    • Strive for personal and professional development, setting and achieving growth goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years of industry sales experience. Copy/Print experience a plus!
  • Previous experience in leadership strongly preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License, personal insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays as required.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external clients.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to plan and execute territory sales strategies with minimal supervision.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the capability to maintain detailed sales records and manage responsibilities.
