Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Field Service)Location: North Carolina and Rocky Mountain Area (90% Travel)Employment Type: Contract to Hire (6-month contract, followed by full-time employment)Start Date: ImmediateCompensation: Competitive salary with substantial travel compensationJob Description;We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team. This role involves extensive travel (90% of the time) to client sites across North Carolina and the Rocky Mountain area. The position is initially a 6-month contract, transitioning to full-time employment thereafter including comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities;
  • Conduct on-site mechanical service engineering, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment;
  • Perform minor electrical work as required;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site to ensure optimal operation of machinery and systems;
  • Maintain detailed service records and prepare reports on work completed; and
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications;
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering OR time-spent experience as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and minor electrical issues;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively;
  • Willingness to travel extensively (90% of the time) and adapt to varying work environments; and
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
