Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipunctures, capillary draws, and other specimen collection techniques in a professional and patient-focused manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples using venipuncture or capillary collection techniques.
  • Ensure proper identification, labeling, and handling of all specimens.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, including centrifugation and proper storage.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and sample collection.
  • Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during the blood draw process.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the laboratory team to ensure timely and accurate testing.
  • Maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment, ensuring they are clean and properly stocked.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information about the phlebotomy process.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Phlebotomist, preferably in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent venipuncture and specimen handling skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Rose Hill, NC (Required)
