Work with the order fulfillment team to release orders Accounts payable duties On a monthly basis perform closings, journal entries, disclosure reports for unusual items, reconciliation, state and federal tax payments and treasury activities On a weekly basis review payroll entries and invoices for payments, including invoice coding Contribute to the definition, implementation and improvement of accounting policies Perform general accounting activities, applying techniques and standards to solve unusual issues Provide perspective on accounting matters, based on well established principles and practices and ensures the implementation of changes in Accounting and Reporting Guidelines (A&RG) Execute established accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and local instructions Perform quality checks on financial reporting data, including analytical review of major fluctuations Participate in initiatives and projects to continuously improve financial accounting and reporting processes and tools Liaise with internal and external auditors on accounting and reporting issues Conduct investigations and reconciliation of accounting transaction, as necessary and facilitates the resolution of accounting and reporting issues Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions Perform Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) processes Maintain reporting procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance Participate in internal control testing and prepares relevant documentation
Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field with minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred or Associateâs degree with minimum 5 years of experience
- Previous experience in accounts receivables, payables, credit and collections, finance or a related field
- Proficiency with SAP and advanced excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
