Job Summary
The Unit Manager is accountable for directing/managing the overall daily operations of the designated Unit with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, leading and training staff, facilities management, community relations and membership administration.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge/Skills Required
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, in youth development or a minimum of five years' experience in the field of youth development.
· Minimum of two years' experience in the operation of a Boys & Girls Club (or similar organization) preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets and control expenses and create a positive environment for all youth.
· Requires well-developed interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to project a positive image and communicate clearly, professionally and effectively through oral and written mediums with diverse groups of individuals.
· Requires strong project management, math, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments from different sources while meeting deadlines.
· Must demonstrate a positive attitude, initiative, strong leadership skills, and the ability to provide guidance to staff and volunteers with a variety of educational and experiential backgrounds.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
· Mandatory CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications.
· This is a full-time position and may require evening and weekend hours.
