Position Summary:

The National Account Manager plays an important role in developing customer relationships with key national retailers (Walmart, Kroger, Target Aldi, Lidl, Dollar and Club). The National Account Manager owns the relationship with their customers and is responsible for growing sales profitably by executing customer level business plans to achieve sales controllables (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, Shelving, and Trade Fund Management).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Be enthusiastic, share a positive attitude and smile
  • Manage the Mrs. T’s business via brokers and through direct account responsibility. Key customers include –Walmart, Kroger, Target, Sam’s, Costco, BJ’s, Aldi, Lidl, and Dollar accounts.
  • Lead all aspects of Customer Management through use of account proprietary systems’ reports, applications, and tools, for example, Walmart Retail Link.
  • Build relationships with key customer personnel across all functions to develop and execute programs at both strategic and tactical levels. Execute mutually beneficial brand plans for consistent account penetration.
  • Lead broker organizations and business managers to use category management best practices to achieve sales controllables (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, Shelving and Trade Fund Management).
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts to optimize production planning and ensure the delivery of product at best-in-class service levels.
  • Manage the accrual budgets to ensure spending and promotional criteria are within promotional guidelines and deliver profitable growth versus plan. Maintain customer deductions at a zero balance.
  • Achieve brand share gains at account greater than or equal to market/customer growth. Deliver base and incremental volume goals through maximizing promotional/performance mix.
  • Ensure adherence to Company policies through effective communications to Brokers and to the trade. Cross-functionally manage to lead customer initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Masters preferred
  • 5 years of Consumer Product Goods (CPG) Sales experience
  • Broker Management Experience
  • P&L Management
  • Advanced category/brand analytics - IRI preferred

Hybrid remote / 50% travel / (car allowance & mileage reimbursement provided)
