Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Essential Duties:
- Assists with cleaning of equipment and maintenance of department; may exchange oxygen tanks and/or attach IV’s to wheelchairs or gurneys as necessary.
- Escorts patients at the time of discharge from their room to personal transportation.
- Maintains a safe work and patient environment adhering to the hospital’s Safety Risk Management Regulatory Standards and infection prevention.
- Provide Client and Patient Relations.
- Performs basic life support gives assistance to medical staff during emergencies and may respond to hospital codes.
- Performs basic patient care activities based on skill ability and limitations of scope of practice as directed by management and/or nursing staff.
- Transports patients to and from nursing units and ancillary departments in a manner conducive to patient safety and comfort including special needs.
