Job Title: Area Director
Supervisor: RVP or the Director of Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt (Executive, Administrative)
Prerequisite:
College degree or equivalent experience
5 years of multi-unit restaurant experience
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Windows based computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Excel
Patience, flexibility, and ability to execute job responsibilities
Position requires weekly travel
Job Responsibilities: The Area Director is responsible for all aspects of restaurant operations in an area designated by the Director of Operations. The Area Director provides leadership and direction toward achievement of the Company's goals for sales, profit, and growth. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
Directly supervises 5-6 General Managers
Indirectly supervises Assistant General Managers and hourly staff for their designated restaurants
Disseminates and enforces Company Operations standards that ensure the highest levels of quality, Service and Cleanliness
Reviews and monitors financial and operating performance of the restaurants; develops and
implements action plans to correct inadequate performance
Interviews and hires quality applicants for management positions; coaches and develops the
operational, managerial and leadership skills of GM’s
Supports and executes the Company's training programs and materials; involved in the development of Team Members; identifies candidates for AGM and Shift Manager positions
Ensures compliance of all Human Resources/Personnel laws including Wage and Hour, EEO and OSHA. Responds to all employee related complaints on a timely basis
Executes current operating objectives; identifies and implements sales building strategies for each restaurant supervised
Ensures that established employee turnover, recruitment, staffing and other human resource goals are achieved.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds
Extended periods of time spent walking and/or standing.
